Without the strength of our Quality team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to work in the quality department. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Quality Inspector.
As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Quality Inspector, you will be a team-oriented individual who will review, verify, analyze, inspect and evaluate the precision and accuracy of internal and externally supplied products, designs, documentation, procedures and practices. Along with inspecting finished and unfinished products, we must abide by Karman’s quality systems, programs, policies, procedures and controls ensuring that products conform to established company international (ISO 9001 & AS9100), government regulation standards, and agency guidelines.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Perform visual inspections of finished and unfinished products.
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures; including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
- Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
- Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions .
- Receive and inspect raw materials.
- Investigate or report questionable test results.
- Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
- Perform other duties as requested by the quality control manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent oral and written comprehension.
- Great problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics that include algebra and geometry.
- A broad understanding of engineering principles.
- Knowledge of using and calibrating measurement tools such as height gages and calipers.
- Well versed in ISO: 9000 and AS9100.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- Aerospace background is a plus.
- Experience with composite and metallic structures is a plus.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirement.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
- Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
- Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment
