Pay Range: $20 - $24 hourly

SUMMARY:
The CNC Operator I must be able to set-up and operate computer programmed machines. Along with being able to operate the machinery, it is required to also measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure it reaches required specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be familiar with all machine shop processes and procedures.
- Measures dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Reports any machining defects or dimensional non conformance to department lead immediately.
- Stage materials for processing.
- Housekeeping including sweeping, mopping and dusting required.
- Light machine maintenance including wiping machine down on the outside and cleanup of chips and dust on the inside. Adds oil and other fluids regularly.
- Employee may be required to work overtime.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect machined components
- Basic blueprint reading experience
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace
- Assist other team members as needed
- Follows all company safety policies reporting any hazards or injuries
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator or technician
- CNC machine operation is a plus
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
- Constant standing/walking for at least 8 hours.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
- Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment
