Inventory & Receiving Specialist
K2 Space
The Role
You will be responsible for standing up the receiving, inventory and shipping operations as we prepare to build our first Mega class satellite. You will work closely with the production technicians, ensuring the right hardware arrives to the production line when it is needed for integration. Your day-to-day operations will include: managing all receiving operations and working closely with our delivery drivers, kitting hardware for our production line and for outside processing, and shipping hardware to a number of our suppliers.
Responsibilities
Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork
Check for damage and confirm correct part numbers, quantities and revisions
Receive all materials/packages and transact receipt in the ERP receiving system
Acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming materials and packages, identify receipt in ERP then transport to receiving inspection, stockroom or identified buyer/requestor
Verify that all materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assist with loading and unloading of trucks
Operate material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts
Perform kitting operations for internal customers and external suppliers
Perform cycle counts and reconcile incorrect system records with actual physical inventory
Support shipping operations by organizing pickups, packaging, and loading
Qualifications
3+ years of receiving, shipping, and/or inventory experience
Experience operating a forklift, scissor lift, or cherry picker
Experience with and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems for tracking inventory and inspection results
Knowledge of ESD handling procedures and ITAR compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems including previous experience going through an ISO 9001/AS9100 audit
Forklift certification
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour + equity in the company
Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level
