ispace Technologies, US is a looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior RF Communications Engineer to join its new team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop Lunar Lander RF Communications architecture and requirements.
  • Partner with GNC, Flight Software and Systems Integration to develop on-orbit and lunar surface CONOPs as it relates to uplink and downlink communication.
  • Develop and manage RF link budget across all phases of the mission.
  • Support design and analysis for packaging of RF assemblies including CAD work.
  • Participate in all program milestones including trade studies, design reviews, software and hardware-level test, and on-orbit operations.
  • Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware (antennas, filters, PCB layout) to design and evaluate performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics . We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Extensive experience in design & optimization of RF circuits and structures including antennas, transmission lines, filters, impedance matching networks, couplers, power splitters and combiners, phase shifters, amplifiers, receivers, and transmitters.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft Avionics systems .
  • Experience with simulation and programming tools (ex. Matlab/Simulink, C++, Python.)
  • Ability to perform RF communication design and analysis tasks, and support mission operations.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, including Atlassian.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics . We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft RF Communications.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with 3D CAD (Solidworks, NX, or similar) and electrical schematic capture software.
  • Extensive experience with Matlab & Simulink.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working for Aerospace/Space Prime or sub-contractor strongly preferred.
  • Experience in startup environment a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary based upon experience - $145,000 - $165,000. The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
