What We’re Looking For:
Iridium is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive awareness and adoption of Iridium’s cutting-edge products and services, specifically in the Commercial Satellite Time and
Location (STL) product line within the position, navigation & timing (PNT) business division. You will be responsible for building a significant sales pipeline, managing existing accounts, identifying new partners to help us increase market share across the EMEA region, and fill gaps we may have in our existing distribution network. You will perform in a business development function in key markets, including Telecom, Finance/Data Center, Public Safety, Civil Government and Critical Infrastructure. We will look to you to uncover demand for our products and services and identify the appropriate Iridium partner to fulfill the requirement.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, prospect, and strategically assess opportunities with potential customers within key markets that will create long-term value for Iridium and the PNT business division
- Responsible for the delivery of new sales and business development including account prospecting, qualification, and lead follow-up within assigned sales territory to achieve or exceed assigned sales quota/product mix objectives
- Play a key role in contract negotiation, proposal development, technical support, customer service, installation and customer training activities
- Prepare account plans/proposal strategies and assume responsibility for the implementation of plans
- Leverage specialized knowledge of products and services to support existing accounts and grow their business by carrying out regular strategy planning meetings, delivering training of new products and services, and ensuring accounts have access to the necessary Iridium support tools to effectively sell our products and services
- Work closely with the channel partners to create, implement and monitor marketing plans and ensure that their business operations support requirements are satisfied
- Collaborate with Iridium’s various Lines of Business , EMEA Channel Management, and Sales Management to develop new business growth opportunities with prospective customers
- Consult with Iridium to organize and assist in end-user demonstrations, seminars, road shows, and project development
- Support Iridium management in the important aspects of the regional sales process including prospecting, qualifying, meeting, and working closely with EMEA Channel Management and Lines of Business
- Prepare and conduct assessment meetings with Iridium leadership to help ensure Iridium is able to meet or exceed its monthly/quarterly/annual targets
- Direct analysis efforts for recommending potential areas of business and new/enhanced products to management
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- University degree in a business or technical discipline, or equivalent qualifications gained through relevant professional experience
- Minimum 10 years of direct sales or business development experience in the EMEA region, ideally in Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) or technology-based solutions
- Demonstrated track record in selling technology products or services, including experience with account management, prospecting, and closing new business
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar tools for managing leads, opportunities, and accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments, senior leadership, and external partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions and see them through to completion.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to thrive in a dynamic, multi-task environment while managing shifting priorities
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- Knowledge of mobile satellite services or related industries is highly desirable
- Proficiency in one or more European languages is an advantage
We’ll also need you to:
- Be located at a mutually agreeable location in Europe with convenient access to major airports
- Be willing and able to travel regularly throughout the EMEA region (up to 50%) to support business development and customer engagement

Work Environment:
This position primarily works in the company office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work. Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least three days per week (approximately 60%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.
