Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

The Iridium Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Iridium teams shaping the future of satellite communications. As an Intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Iridium Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 27, 2025 to August 15, 2025. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Iridium department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns via regular engagement activities. Interns will participate in an end of internship presentation, where we ask them to reflect on their summer internships and present a summary of what they have learned and accomplished.

What We’re Looking For:

As a Marketing intern, you will collaborate with the marketing team on graphic design development as well as written, visual, and video content. Your contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain Iridium’s brand awareness and ongoing marketing efforts, and will help you acquire new marketing, communication and design skills in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a creative, hands-on learner who’s ready to dive right in and start creating exciting new content!

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the development of creative and high-impact graphics for marketing resources, sales tools, campaigns, email communications, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Help write and update content for print and digital marketing collateral, such as comparison charts, fact sheets, infographics, product catalogs, use cases, etc.
  • Help collect and develop photo and videos assets for a library of partner and customer testimonials.
  • Assist in creating internal and external communications including e-newsletters, social media content, event/virtual event invitations, etc.
  • Stay current on industry trends; research competitors and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Assist the Marketing Team in implementing the creative process to ensure a coherent look and feel to sales and marketing materials, following established brand guidelines.

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

Things You Must Bring to the Table:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution
  • Preferred major in Graphic Design, Media Arts, Advertising and Marketing, Visual Communication, Communications, Liberal Arts, Business, or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or green card holder)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Desired video editing skills with programs like Movie Maker, Adobe Premier, After Effects
  • Experience with MailChimp, SurveyMonkey and other automation marketing platforms
  • Interest in aerospace and/or telecommunications
  • Must be able to work in person
