About the Position:
This role is responsible for the overall lifecycle, security, and stability of the organization's user endpoint devices. This role centers on maintaining and designing solutions across a hybrid ecosystem, ensuring on-premises clients function seamlessly alongside a cloud-connected modern workspace.
The primary duties include managing Microsoft 365 (M365) resources, performing robust client software deployment, and building, maintaining, and deploying applications and configurations via Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM / MECM / SCCM).
Responsibilities:
- Endpoint & Software Deployment (MCM / MECM /SCCM .Linux, Apple)
- Application Lifecycle: Package, test, script, and deploy commercial and custom software to endpoints globally.
- Operating System Deployment (OSD): Build, configure, and maintain gold images and task sequences for bare-metal and in-place upgrade OS deployments.
- Patch Management: Architect and automate monthly patch deployments for Windows, Linux, Apple operating systems and third-party applications.
- Infrastructure Care: Maintain Microsoft Configuration Manager health, including distribution points, boundary groups, and agent health.
- Modern Cloud Management (M365 & Intune)
- Unified Endpoint Strategy: Administer device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access via Microsoft Intune / Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Co-Management Architecture: Drive co-management workloads between cloud Intune and on-premises MCM infrastructure.
- Cloud Provisioning: Configure and support Windows Autopilot workflows for zero-touch cloud deployments.
- On-Premises & Client Support
- Identity & Policy: Manage local Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID hybrid integrations, targeting devices through Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Escalation Engineering: Act as the Tier 3 technical escalation point for complex operating system, software deployment, and registry issues.
- Asset Compliance: Develop specific collections, configuration baselines, and SQL reports to audit enterprise client software inventory and security postures.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional enterprise experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of dedicated experience in an enterprise systems administrator or endpoint engineering capacity.
- Configuration Manager Master: Deep, production-level knowledge of MCM/MECM/SCCM architecture, collection rules, task sequences, and logs. ·
- M365 Competency: Solid experience utilizing the Microsoft 365 Suite, including Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Entra ID.
- Scripting Proficiency: High competency with PowerShell or similar scripting tools to package applications and automate client-side tasks.
- Core Networking: Functional understanding of DNS, DHCP, PXE boot configurations, and Active Directory environments.
Preferred Requirements:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
