About The Position
This individual will lead technical programmatic execution in support of Lunar Lander missions, managing cross-functional engineering, integration, test, and operations activities. The Technical Program Manager will work closely with the Chief Engineer and Program Manager to ensure alignment between technical development and mission objectives across all phases—from design and build through launch and lunar surface operations. The ideal candidate will have strong spacecraft development experience, particularly in complex system integration and flight hardware delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical delivery of multiple interdependent workstreams supporting the lunar lander mission to meet schedule and budget objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer and Program Manager to align technical execution with overall mission strategy.
- Identify technical risks and drive resolution across design, manufacturing, integration, and test phases.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation plans, including technical trades, in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
- Serve as a primary technical programmatic interface between Intuitive Machines, NASA, and other mission stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with program controls while driving continuous improvement in technical and program execution within a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, program updates, and status reports to leadership and external partners.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful integration and delivery of flight hardware.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or technical project leadership.
- Strong technical understanding of spacecraft systems, including structures, propulsion, avionics, thermal systems, etc.
- Proven ability to manage complex aerospace development programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Previous hands-on experience supporting spacecraft or lunar lander development programs.
- Experience with hardware development lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, integration, and test.
- Familiarity with NASA programs, requirements, and mission operations.
- Experience managing flight hardware delivery for space missions.
