About the Position:
Intuitive Machines is seeking a Navigation Project Manager to join our team. This position will support real-time navigation flight software development, HWIL navigation sensor integration, performance, and testing. The applicant will be located on-site at the IM main office in Houston, TX. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support hardware for the fleet of Intuitive Machines spacecraft systems.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining project schedules for design, development, integration, test, and operations for Flight Dynamics projects
- Overseeing integration and testing of Flight Dynamics GN&C flight hardware and systems
- Management and tracking of Flight Dynamics hardware and GSE equipment
- Supporting employee staff planning within the Flight Dynamics Group
Requirements:
- BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience preferred
- Experience with Project Management, maintaining budgets and schedules for GNC projects
- Experience leading a small technical team, coordinating with Principal Design Leads on project planning and execution
- Experience with GN&C hardware including IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR and cameras
Preferred:
- Prior experience with real-time software
- Experience developing Kalman Filter navigation concepts
- Experience with SWIL and HWIL testing and integration
- Experience in relative navigation, image processing, and feature detection techniques
- Experience with JIRA and Agile processes
- Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
