Internship Overview:
Intuitive Machines is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Avionics Intern. This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field. As an Avionics Intern, you will play a role in the development and integration of avionics systems for aerospace applications. This is a paid, full time internship Under the supervision and mentorship of other engineering teammates you could potentially except some of the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and execution of tests for avionics systems, including functional, environmental, and reliability testing.
- Contribute to the design and layout of PCBs for avionics applications, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
- Work on the design and testing of wiring harnesses, ensuring proper functionality and durability in aerospace environments.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to integrate avionics components into larger aerospace systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Identify and resolve issues in avionics systems, utilizing problem-solving skills to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of design, testing, and integration activities to ensure comprehensive documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during testing and integration activities to maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a associates, bachelor's or master's degree program in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field. Certifications & related coursework/background also welcome.
- Strong interest in avionics systems, electrical design, and aerospace technology.
- Familiarity or interest with PCB design tools and software or related coursework experience.
- Understanding of wiring harness design principles and testing procedures or related coursework experience.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
