Key Responsibilities
- Build the couriers driver-based financial model from scratch: GMV → orders → done rate → take rate → net revenue, split by market and product/initiative line
- Model the business case for every major product/initiative launch and new market entry using a standardised ROI template
- Own all couriers forecasting in Workday Adaptive Planning with full driver assumptions documented
- Monthly plan-fact analysis by market: explain every material variance, challenge the business when assumptions are wrong
- Weekly performance tracking against budget and stretch targets, with early warning flags when run-rates indicate risk to quarterly commitments.
- Own monthly rolling forecasts — update driver assumptions based on actuals, flag risks and opportunities, and provide management with a credible landing range.
- Scenario modelling: quantify the impact of operational improvements (done rate, pricing changes, new channels) and give the business a range of outcomes, not a single number
- Transition all courier reporting from Google Sheets to Workday and Tableau: build automated dashboards for market-level performance, done rate trends, take rate analysis, cost per delivery
- Resolve cross-vertical cost allocation issues (e.g. shared Delivery Hub expenses, ride-hailing bonus allocation)
- Stand up finance for Food vertical launch: New partnership unit economics modelling (revenue share, restaurant commission rates, AOV, delivery cost, path-to-break-even), investment due diligence for potential acquisitions, and standardised financial onboarding playbook for future food partnerships
- Own the annual Couriers and Food budget: revenue by market, OPEX by cost centre, built from drivers
- Prepare BRM, investor deck, and management board inputs for Couriers & Food: growth story, unit economics improvement, path to target
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Management consulting, Big 4 advisory background or CIMA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent management accounting credential) strongly preferred.
- 6+ years relevant experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or finance business partnering, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead role
- Strong financial modelling skills: able to build unit economic driver-based models from first principles in Excel. You should be comfortable with a blank spreadsheet, not just inherited templates
- Experience with marketplace, logistics, delivery, or food delivery economics (GMV, take rate, done rate, cost per delivery, route economics, partnership unit economics) is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to work independently and build financial processes where none exist – this is a greenfield role with significant autonomy
- Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders with data: you will be the financial voice in the room, and the business expects you to push back on a Director-level counterpart
- Experience with partnership or joint venture economics (revenue share modelling, due diligence) is a plus
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Tableau, or similar BI/planning tools is preferred
- Strong communication skills: ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance audiences
- Fluent English required. Additional languages relevant to our operating markets are a plus
- Problem-solving orientation: hypothesis-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, unit economics mindset
