The Enterprise Software Engineer at Impulse will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting integrations and internal tools that connect our core operational platforms, including ERP, MES, PLM, and ancillary systems. This role focuses on consuming and connecting existing APIs, building internal tools using low-code platforms, and surfacing unified operational data for manufacturing, engineering, quality, and business users to support the company's internal operations at scale.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain connections between critical business systems: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Part Lifecycle Management (PLM), by consuming and orchestrating existing APIs
- Advise and implement data integration and warehousing strategies to consolidate information across disparate systems for reporting and operational visibility
- Develop internal workflows, operational tools, and dashboards using low-code platforms such as Retool and Temporal to surface data and drive efficiency
- Partner with business users to understand operational needs and deliver integrated technical solutions that enhance manufacturing, engineering, and quality processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and system integration failures
- Document system integrations, data flows, application logic, and internal tools for maintainability and future scalability
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or technical business analyst roles
- Hands-on experience consuming and connecting APIs (RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, C#, or JavaScript/Node.js preferred)
- Strong SQL skills with strong understanding of data modeling and database integration concepts
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience developing in ERP systems (Infor SyteLine preferred) or low-code frameworks
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments (CMMC, ITAR, CUI).
- Experience building internal reporting dashboards from operational data sources
- Familiarity with DevOps basics (source control, CI/CD pipelines for internal apps)
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
