Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble harnesses and electromechanical assemblies for flight and development applications
  • Perform PCB rework and apply polymerics (conformal coat, etc) to assembled PCBs
  • Work side-by-side with engineering in a fast-paced environment
  • Execute brand-new processes, interpret engineering intent, and provide feedback to help improve documentation and planning
  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and other controlled documentation/processes
  • Perform verification testing of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise and complete manner
  • Support projects that improve the operational efficiency of the avionics production area

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of experience using electrical and mechanical hand tools within a production environment
  • Demonstrated experience fabricating wire harnesses in a production environment
  • Demonstrated experience with soldering
  • Ability to adapt to changing work assignments and thrive in an agile work environment
  • Self-motivated and excellent attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working on vehicles of any kind, such as cars, planes, rockets, spacecraft, drones, or boats
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, hi-pot testers, or other electrical test equipment
Additional Information:
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to distinguish colors is required
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
