As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll design and operate the core platform foundations that power ICEYE’s products, enabling secure, scalable, and reliable services across cloud and on-prem environments.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve core platform components including Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, and secrets management

• Build and maintain reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform across AWS and on-prem environments

• Define and implement observability standards, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting

• Partner with product teams to guide platform adoption and enable scalable, platform-aligned architectures

• Automate platform lifecycle processes including provisioning, upgrades, and scaling

• Improve platform reliability, performance, and security through continuous iteration

• Support and mentor engineers on best practices in Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability

• Reduce operational overhead through tooling, automation, and improved platform abstractions

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles operating production systems

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, and lifecycle management

• Solid understanding of AWS fundamentals including networking, IAM, compute, and storage

• Experience with infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform

• Practical experience with observability, including SLOs, metrics, logs, traces, and alerting

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Go

• Strong Linux systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively in English

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Rancher, Istio, External Secrets, or Vault

• Experience operating in restricted or air-gapped environments

• Experience with identity systems such as FusionAuth or SSO integrations

• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments

• Experience with hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-prem platforms
