Who are we?

ICEYE is the global leader in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite operations for Earth Observation, persistent monitoring, and natural catastrophe solutions—owning and operating the world’s largest SAR constellation. Headquartered in Finland, we operate from five international locations with more than 600 employees from nearly 60 countries, united by a shared mission: to improve life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.

Our satellites image the Earth in all weather conditions, day or night, enabling governments and commercial partners to make data-driven decisions for maritime safety, disaster management, insurance, and financial analysis.

We’re a tight-knit team of experts—engineers, technicians, developers, and innovators—driven by curiosity and collaboration. At ICEYE, teamwork, excellence, and fun are core values that power our mission of making the impossible possible.

Why should you work for us?

At ICEYE, you’ll be part of a company at the forefront of the new space industry—designing, building, and operating a commercial SAR satellite constellation that is redefining what’s possible in Earth Observation.

We believe our people are the foundation of our success. You’ll work alongside a diverse, skilled, and passionate team, with the opportunity to make a tangible impact every day. We offer support for continuous professional growth through training, courses, and conference participation. Your development, success, and well-being are our priority.

What is the role?

ICEYE is seeking a Stock Management Specialist to join our Stock Management team, responsible for managing the flight hardware and materials in storage and across production and integration activities. In this position, you’ll ensure timely material availability for production and integration teams, maintain high standards of material management in storage, and coordinate closely with logistics, production, and integration teams to support seamless operations.

This position demands precision, ownership, and a proactive, hands-on approach, ideal for someone passionate about hardware logistics in a fast growing new space environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the inventory of flight hardware in dedicated storage areas, ensuring traceability and compliance with handling and storing practices.
  • Executing work order kitting and preparing hardware for assembly and testing activities.
  • Acting as a “water spider” within the production environment, distributing hardware and materials efficiently to maintain production flow.
  • Coordinating flight hardware distribution and ensuring correct labeling, packaging, and documentation in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Conducting regular stock counting rounds and reconciling discrepancies in the ERP system.
  • Tracking materials in different locations and assisting in non-conforming material management alongside Quality and Stock Management teams.
  • Collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams to guarantee full traceability and compliance of flight hardware.
  • Assisting in process improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of lean and efficient production logistics processes.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in logistics, inventory, or production roles, preferably within aerospace, electronics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Degree in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and material management workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and traceability.
  • Ability to work proactively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-reliability production setting.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset and readiness to take initiative in supporting continuous improvement.

It’s a plus if you also have:

  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and the water spider concept.
  • Knowledge of hardware configuration management and version control.
  • Basic familiarity with mechanical or electrical assemblies, in cleanroom, or EPA areas.

Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required).

  • A job that matters in a dynamic Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach
  • An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment
  • Occupational healthcare, occupational and private insurance
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
  • Phone subscription with iPhone of choice
  • Relocation support (i.e. flight tickets, accommodation, relocation agency support)
  • Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes
  • Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus
  • A wide variety of the best coffee, tea, snacks, and sweets to accompany your daily space mission
