What will you do in this role?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the critical post-commissioning phase of our satellite fleet. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimal performance of our assets in orbit. You will be at the forefront of coordinating complex activities, from routine maintenance to de-commissioning, and will play a key role in liaising between engineering, operations, and external stakeholders.

As a Fleet Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fleet Maintenance & Orbit Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of satellite fleet maintenance, including scheduling, execution, troubleshooting, and telemetry analysis. Manage orbit maintenance activities, including planning and maneuver execution.
  • Testing Coordination: Liaise between Engineering and Commercial Operations (COSP) for testing activities. This includes reviewing requirements, developing test plans, scheduling, providing operational support, and post-test analysis.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management: Process and coordinate customer test requests, including scheduling and support.
  • Satellite Lifecycle Management: Manage satellite de-commissioning, including planning, CCB participation, execution, and documentation. Oversee satellite status changes (e.g., to/from test bed), including planning and CCB processes.
  • Reporting & On-Call: Generate reports on satellite availability and status for finance and other stakeholders. Participate in "Space On Call" duties.

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Proven experience in satellite operations, mission management, OR a similar technical coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of satellite fleet maintenance, orbit mechanics, and testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex technical activities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with Change Control Board (CCB) processes and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and generate clear, concise reports.
  • Experience in coordinating with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
