AI FIRST SENIOR ASSOCIATE / ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER

Overview:

This role provides broad exposure across financial control, business finance, reporting, and compliance. You will ensure strong governance, accuracy, and regulatory compliance, while also using automation and AI tools to drive process efficiency and insights.

1. Financial Control & Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, ledger finalization, and financial reporting and providing guidance to the accounting team.
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audits with strong documentation and compliance
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls across entities and processes
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, and income tax filings
• Maintain structured documentation for all financial transactions, policies, and regulatory requirements

2. Business Finance & Strategic Support

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across functions
• Build financial models and dashboards to support pricing, hiring, and cost decisions
• Analyze financial and operational data to generate insights for leadership
• Track core SaaS and operating metrics (LTV, CAC, burn, NRR, etc.) and assist in building automated reports for the same

3. AI-Driven Automation & Efficiency

• Identify manual or repetitive tasks and work with internal/external tools to automate processes (e.g., reconciliation, MIS, invoicing, tax reporting)
• Collaborate with the tech and product teams to explore the use of AI tools in finance workflows
• Lead or support initiatives to reduce turnaround time, improve accuracy, and build scalability in finance ops

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Support cash flow monitoring, expense tracking, and fund movements across geographies
• Work with AP/AR teams to improve working capital cycles through better controls and automation

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain monthly MIS, variance reports, investor decks, and compliance trackers
• Own reporting packs across internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• CA ranker ( preferred)
• CA/MBA with at least 1 year of post qualification experience
• Articleship/Experience in a big 4/startup would be preferred.
• Hands-on with Excel and accounting systems; interest in automation, finance tools, or low-code platforms
• Excellent written and oral articulation
• Working knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory filings
• Strong communication skills and comfort working across cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented, highly accountable, and passionate about modernizing finance operations
• Experience or strong interest in applying AI in finance workflows
