What do we do

Verifying ‘who they say they are’ online, right from the Nigerian prince scams to email-imposters who claim to be the company's CEO - the problem is ever evolving and growing along with the internet's growth. Thus, building the Identity Infrastructure for Internet scale is indeed a critical step to empower new-age businesses to grow. We’ve solved this challenge really well & validated the identities of 700+ million customers until date (More than 9% of the world’s population)

What will you do as a Machine Learning Engineer at HyperVerge?

• You will be an early member of the AI team for a new product, HyperStart, a AI-powered automated Contract Lifecycle Management tool for scaling businesses to save their time spent in organizing, searching, reviewing, sharing and tracking contractual data. Read more about the product here.

• As an early member, you will play a critical role in shaping the product. You will :

  AI Development

  • Design, architect and develop high-quality deep Learning models for NLP and Computer Vision problems.
  • Develop AI-powered products, incorporating large language models (LLMs), embeddings, and other AI technologies into the product.
  • Ensure that best practices are followed in solving AI problems including thorough problem analysis, prior research understanding, persistent experimentation and documentation, rapid prototyping and extensive testing.
  • Devise benchmark datasets and protocols for thorough performance evaluation of the solution against real-world test cases.
  • Handle challenges w.r.t data requirements such as ideating the best ways of sourcing data, creating new tools for data annotation, etc. to effectively solve the AI problems.
  • Productionize and launch new AI integrations into the core product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time.
  • File for patents and publish research papers at AI conferences.

  • Everything you work on will have, at its core, building a great product. You’ll actively engage with user feedback, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leveraging data-driven insights to build AI solutions that align with user needs and business objectives.

  • Assist clients with necessary support needed for smooth understanding and testing of our products.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and best-in-class performance of the developed solutions by continuously seeking feedback from customers, product teams, internal and external benchmarks

  • Contribute to the growth of the AI team through proactive effort on staying up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and trends, process improvements, and performance enhancements on existing solutions

What we need from you

• Domain expertise and experience:

  • You have a sound understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and NLP, having a strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and calculus.
  • You have 1-3 years of hands-on industry experience after graduation working on machine learning and deep learning - building, evaluating, and iterating on neural network architectures that effectively solve the problem, working with data teams to collect and organize the data needed for the task at hand and contributing to end-to-end product / feature development.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining AI models in production.
  • You are fluent with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and are highly proficient in Python.

• Ownership: You love owning things end-to-end, are detail-oriented, self-driven, feel excited about the idea of working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong bias for action.

• Problem-solving: You approach problems holistically, starting with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You think critically about the implications of what you're building and how it will impact real people's lives. You can navigate ambiguity flawlessly, decompose complex problems into clean solutions, while also balancing the business impact of what you’re building.

• Impact-orientation and growth mindset: You care about having a real-world impact through what you build and understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line. You enjoy learning and can easily learn whatever is needed. To you, technologies are about tools and tradeoffs, not an ideology. You have good communication and critical thinking.

• Bonus:

  • You've worked previously in a fast paced environment, preferably as the primary contributor of a critical module
  • You're fluent with the recent advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering
  • You have experience with using deep learning for computer vision
