For a thriving Business Services Center and transformation project for a global company, we are exceptional Payroll and HR Admin Team leader located in Monterrey, Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an amazing Global Business Service Centre based in Monterrey supporting the America's region.
The Payroll and HR Admin team leader’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processes bi-weekly payroll for assigned organizations.
- Perform a wide range of payroll functions including preparation, processing, distribution, and reporting, ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
- Builds relationships with key partners – schedules monthly meetings to find out how to best support customers; send proactive emails out on deadlines and information; shares payroll processes; sets “guiderails” and be able to respectfully push back when needed.
- Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.
- Support payroll‑related audits and SOX compliance by following internal control requirements and maintaining complete and updated process documentation.
- Perform monthly and annual payroll closing activities and participate in payroll‑to‑accounting reconciliations.
- Setting up new or terminated employees in payroll.
- Makes necessary deduction changes, submits tax payments, prepares payroll reports, and maintains payroll records in compliance with applicable laws.
- Coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
- Documents payroll processes and procedures.
- Maintains accurate payroll system information.
- Aid in process improvement projects or other duties as assigned by the HR leadership.
- Perform clerical duties as necessary (filing, copying, scanning, etc.)
- As part of the HR team, may be called upon to participate in projects or tasks that extend beyond the payroll function to further enhance development and growth.
Desired Skills
Our ideal candidate will be/have:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with processing payroll (start to finish)
- English proficiency is a must.
- At least 2 years of experience working in SAP and other processing payroll systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (formulas, V-look up, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to form strong partnerships with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Utilizes the utmost discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.
- Team player mentality
- Experience with LATAM regions geographies is a must
- Experience with SSC/GBS organizations is a plus.
