Graphic Designer

Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions Business Area is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Communications & Creative Team Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of visual assets that drive our brand presence across global markets. This is a hands-on role that blends information design with creativity to produce a wide range of visual assets across marketing, sales, and corporate communications.

You will play a vital role in elevating our visual identity, ensuring that every touchpoint is consistent, professional, and impactful. By collaborating with the marketing team and subject matter experts, you will translate complex technical concepts into compelling visuals to strengthen our position in the market.

This position is with Hexagon’s NovAtel Positioning Division, and your work will contribute to the success of our brands NovAtel, Veripos, Antcom, and AutonomouStuff.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and produce marketing and sales collateral (brochures, advertisements, sales enablement materials, and technical illustrations/diagrams) for global markets
  • Create clear infographics, diagrams, and visuals that communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Develop platform-specific digital and social assets for web, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other channels to support campaigns and drive engagement
  • Review graphics to ensure brand accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines across all deliverables
  • Manage the full design lifecycle from intake and concept through layout, review cycles, and final file preparation for distribution or commercial printing
  • Maintain and organise digital asset libraries (DAM), including file naming conventions, metadata/tagging, version control, and distribution of approved assets
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate strategy and messaging into effective visuals
  • Pilot and apply AI-enabled design tools to streamline workflows and enhance creative output while maintaining compliance with brand standards
  • Stay current on design trends and best practices, proactively improving templates, standards, and the overall quality and effectiveness of visual assets
  • Coordinate with external creative/communications agencies, providing direction and ensuring brand-aligned, on-brief deliverables
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all assets and touchpoints

Qualifications

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Information Design, Media Production, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a professional graphic design role, delivering work for marketing and sales audiences
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign for complex layouts, Illustrator for technical vector work, and Photoshop)
  • Strong knowledge of design principles (layout, typography, hierarchy, and colour) and the ability to apply them consistently across print and digital
  • Demonstrated experience producing print-ready and digital assets, including complex multi-page layouts and infographics/diagrams
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills (master templates, clean layout, and brand-compliant presentation design)
  • Portfolio demonstrating strength across sales enablement, marketing campaigns/social, and technical or complex information design
  • Strong communication skills

  • Prioritises effectively across multiple concurrent requests in a fast-paced, global environment, communicating and aligning expectations
  • Collaborates with technical SMEs, product/marketing stakeholders, and agencies to translate requirements into clear, accurate, and compelling visuals
  • Maintains strong organisation, file hygiene, and version control to keep assets findable, reusable, and production-ready
  • Applies meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand compliance across deliverables

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with video editing or motion graphics using Premiere Pro or After Effects
  • Experience with a digital asset management system such as Bynder
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles for digital sales tools or website design
  • Experience with creating 3D graphics
  • Previous experience in B2B marketing or high-tech industries is an asset
