The Position: Reporting to the Field Regional Service & Support Supervisor you will join our Services & Support Division for our APAC region. This role will primarily support APAC Central based projects however as part of the APAC region it will also support interstate/international assignment allocation as and when required.

In this role your key focus will be on site install and service support for our clients across our Fleet Management System & Operator Alertness System portfolio.

This position is a 12-month fixed term contract supporting our client, a leading global gold and copper producer. This role has a roster pattern that will vary depending on assignment across the following, not limited to roster patterns; Monday-Friday / 4:2 / 6:2 possibility of changing monthly depending on customer requests.

Key duties and responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to;

· Technical: Repair, install, configure, commission and support electronic, microprocessor-based systems and radio communications equipment inc FMS/OAS systems

· Operational: Support a wide range of client in ensuring Hexagon Mining technology solutions at client mine sites operate effectively

· Customer Service: Provide training, instruction and advice to our customers on the effective use and operation of Hexagon Mining technology solutions

About you

We are looking for an experienced Auto electrician/Electronics or Communication technician with background in mining Operational technology. If you are keen to work in a dynamic environment with industry leading technology across abroad client base, this is the role for you!

In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;

Required

  • Certificate or qualifications in Auto Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation or Communications
  • Prior exposure to Operational Technology system installation, commissioning and maintenance within mining equipment etc
  • Basic knowledge / understanding of LANs, WANs, working with Linux OS Command Line Interface
  • Prior experience in on site installation, system configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of technology hardware or systems
  • Good English & computing skills (firmware and software loading and management, troubleshooting, administration tasks and email)
  • Ability to work independently or within a team-based environment, building strong interpersonal relations
  • Customer centric & solution focused approach to problem solving, skilled in agility and adaptability
  • Manual car drivers’ licence

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing electronics systems Substantial demonstrated experience in supporting, diagnosing and troubleshooting diverse and varied environments with a focus on electronic / electrical repairs
  • Prior exposure to OAS or FMS system e.g. Minestar, Wenco, Modular, Wabtec or other relative Operational Technology
  • Experience in industries such as electronics, automotive, mining or similar
  • Basic knowledge / understanding of LANs, WANs, working with Linux OS Command Line Interface(desirable)
  • Good English & computing skills (firmware and software loading and management, troubleshooting, administration tasks and email)
