The Division: Hexagon Autonomous Solution comprises of three divisions: Agriculture, Autonomy & Positioning and Mining – Providing a breadth of perception, positioning, vehicle autonomy and site orchestration technologies to enable the full autonomous solutions for the agriculture, mining, automotive and marine sectors.

The Project: Hexagon has partnered with our mining client to develop an autonomous haulage solution for a will deploy and operate a world-first fleet of 120 fully Autonomous Road Trains to carry ore 150km to the Port. The solution, which includes drive-by-wire technology and an autonomous management system, is a truck-agnostic, full-site solution designed to streamline vehicle movement in road-train haulage.

Responsibilities

The Position; Reporting to the Director of Deployment, we are looking for an HSE Advisor on 6 month Casual (with pontential for extension) on a contract basis to join our Autonomous Roadtrains Deployment team.

This role will see you work local or FIFO on a 8/6 as per project requirements so flexibility for inter changeable M-f or 8/6 roster is required.

This position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management System functions across the autonomous road trains project deployment phase. This role is a contract position which will require the incumbent to split their time between the Onslow site and Perth.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Implement and ensure adherence to HSE management plans and tools at project level, providing onsite support to guarantee Hexagons health, safety and environmental standards are met.
  • Management of the health safety, environment and injury management systems including risk registers, risk assessments, safety promotion, safety assurance and policies.
  • Engagement with client on all project HSE matters.
  • Lead project-specific risk workshops, training programs and management plan development.
  • Conduct compliance and audits when required purposes, supporting incident investigations and site audits.
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement in all areas of HSE functions as per project/client requirements, best practice and legal compliance.
  • Administer incident management – run reports, identify trends and advise.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor who is ready for the next step in their career, where your knowledge, skills, experience and passion can be brought to the forefront of your role.

In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;

Technical

  • Relevant HSE tertiary qualification and at least 5 years relevant HSE experience.
  • prior experience working in a greenfields project, ideally in OT deployment
  • Previous experience in a HSE role in a mining, oil and gas, industrial environment.
  • Proven experience in writing, developing and implementing HSE training packages.
  • Knowledge of mine safety regulations.
  • Ability to work M-F or FIFO 8/6 roster to Onslow
  • Proven ability to maintain, build and grow exceptional working relationships with external and internal stakeholders and be a true value-add internal team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

General

  • Valid Australian working rights : Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
  • Current C class drivers’ licence

Desirable

  • Experience using INX, SafeDay & Tableu software is highly desirable.
