ROLE AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
IDS GeoRadar, a global leader in advanced interferometric radar solutions for mining and natural hazard monitoring, is now entering the Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) segment with a disruptive new radar product designed to mark a milestone in the sector, particularly for bridge monitoring (static and dynamic monitoring).
IDS GeoRadar is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the development and expansion of our Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) business across the United States and Canada. This role will focus on driving market adoption of our contactless radar solutions, with particular emphasis on bridge and infrastructure monitoring.
The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping regional strategy, establishing partner networks, and building strong relationships with engineering firms, infrastructure owners, and public agencies. This is a high‑impact role suited for a technically fluent, commercially driven professional with a proven track record in SHM or related monitoring technologies.
Building relationships with key clients operating in the SHM sector, with a focus on bridge monitoring
- Developing a distribution network, leveraging existing group channels and expanding where needed
- Lead the US/CAN go‑to‑market strategy for IDS GeoRadar’s SHM product portfolio.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high‑potential market segments and applications within the region.
- Develop and manage relationships with engineering consultants, contractors, infrastructure authorities, and key industry stakeholders.
- Build and expand a regional distribution and partner network, ensuring effective market coverage.
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to align solutions with regional technical and regulatory requirements.
- Represent IDS GeoRadar at industry conferences, technical forums, and executive‑level meetings.
- Negotiate, structure, and close significant commercial agreements to meet revenue targets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Lead the US/CAN go-to-market strategy for the Company’s SHM new solution
- Identify and prioritize target markets, industries, and regions with high growth potential
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across industries and region
- Identify market opportunities and drive strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with internal teams to align product development with market needs
- Represent the company at industry events and in front of high-level decision-makers
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts and partnerships to achieve revenue targets

- Deep understanding of structural and deformation monitoring methods, technologies, and use cases.
- Experience driving commercial growth within the US/CAN infrastructure sector, including familiarity with public‑sector procurement and industry standards.
- Strong strategic and leadership capabilities, with the ability to operate independently in a growth‑oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States and Canada as required.
EDUCATION REQUESTED
- Bachelor’s degree qualifications in Business, Engineering or equivalent
LANGUAGE:
- English language skill (fluent written and verbal) is a pre-requisite
- Other languages are a plus
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM (Salesforce), email (Outlook), business social network (LinkedIn)
