ROLE & PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Airborne Data Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of airborne data products, including DSM and imagery. This role is the primary commercial interface between customers and the company’s airborne data operations.
The purpose of this position is to expand market presence, identify new customers and market channels, and contribute to revenue growth in the business unit.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- -Execute a targeted sales strategy for DSM, airborne imagery and related geospatial data products.
- -Identify and qualify new business opportunities across government, commercial and enterprise sectors.
- -Manage the sales cycle – from prospecting to contract closure.
- -Support customers with account management on an ongoing basis.
- -Serve as a subject-matter expert on data acquired using Leica’s airborne sensors, product specifications and downstream data applications.
- -Collaborate with product teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of customer requests.
- -Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences and customer meetings.
- -Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demos and proposals
Desired Skills
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- -Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Geography, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Business or related field.
- -5+ years experience in airborne data, mapping, geospatial, GIS, remote sensing or related technology sales.
- -Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a technical B2B or government sales environment.
- -Strong understanding of airborne imagery and LiDAR data acquisition and it’s applications
- -Experience selling to government agencies, commercial enterprises, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
- -Ability to translate technical concepts into customer-friendly business value.
- -Proficient with CRM platforms and Salesforce

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- -Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time, depending on sales territory and customer demand
- -Primarily domestic US travel with possible, occasional international travel for team meetings
