About the Role
Leica Geosystems Technology AS is seeking a Strategy and BI Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions and driving data-driven insights across the organization. This position combines advanced analytics, business intelligence, and strategic reporting to support the Strategy Director, Finance Director, and Regional/Country Managers to deliver clear, impactful analyses and dashboards that guide Machine Control Division’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain strategic BI dashboards (e.g., KPI scorecards) to support performance management and strategic decision-making (in Power-BI or SAC).
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure all strategy work is grounded in up-to-date business intelligence and external market conditions.

Strategic Insights

• Analyze markets, competitors, and emerging trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain and update fact bases on markets, customer segments, and industry dynamics.
• Prepare concise market and competitor briefs for leadership reviews.

Performance Management

• Track KPIs, milestones, and risks across regions using structured methodologies.
• Ensure transparent communication and alignment of priorities across functions and regions.
• Strategy Process Enablement & Governance
• Facilitate workshops and planning sessions for regional and country managers.
• Act as project manager for the strategy execution cadence, ensuring timely follow-through.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strong skills in Power BI or similar visualization tools.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Collaborative, learning-oriented approach with a passion for technology and innovation.

Preferred

• Experience in industrial technology, or other B2B-oriented industries.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to tell clear, data-driven stories.
• Experience in automating reporting and working with AI tools for analysis.
• Familiarity with KPI scorecards, strategic planning frameworks, and performance management systems (CRM, ERP).
• Prior experience supporting workshops, leadership reviews, or cross-functional planning processes.
