Job Description

When an entire city needs to be rendered into a 3D model, utilities buried deep under soil need to be uncovered, highly complex infrastructure projects need to be implemented and even when crime scene investigation needs to be documented – that’s Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon. More than 5’000 employees in 33 countries help us develop the latest technologies for Machine Control, Reality Capture, Surveying and precision measurement.

The Key Account Manager is focused on the development of named strategic account business as a means to deliver sustained growth in the region, covering all offerings to promote the full suite of Leica/Hexagon Geosystems solutions to the market. This role acts as the primary point of contact with our strategic clients focused on learning and understanding their business needs and challenges while providing comprehensive solutions to aid them in achieving their objectives. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the construction industry and implementation of industry technologies is required.

  • Remote work. Preference given to those in the Western and Central time zones.
  • Compensation is 100K-120K plus commission.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Foster and cultivate meaningful business relationships with key Hexagon clients and prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular business meetings with clients to properly understand current business dynamics and challenges while acting as council on implementation of Hexagon technologies to aid our client in achieving their goals.
  • Uncover and identify opportunities for sales growth through upselling, and cross selling within the accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all stakeholders are engaged in delivering optimum solutions and services to the client.
  • Collaborate with Leica distribution partners and corresponding Leica Business Managers to ensure they’re providing exemplary service through sales, service, and training.
  • Remain current on industry trends, technology innovations, competitive landscape, and market trends to make properly informed business decisions.
  • Conduct direct sales calls with Key Accounts in the US and Canada with primary focus on C-Suite executives, key stake holders, project owners, technology champions, VDC Managers, and Region Directors.
  • Manage all selling activities – leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities in Salesforce while maintaining correct KPIs as defined by Management
  • Responsible for all field sales operations coordination for the demonstration and implementation activities with the agreed upon named accounts/projects/opportunities
  • Travel 50%, both domestic and international

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years’ experience selling into key accounts.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the passion to drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships within large/complex organizations
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Lotus Notes is helpful

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Construction technologies and AutoCAD or design software.
  • Strong English and preferably Spanish reading, writing and verbal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BIM a strong plus.
  • Excellent technical, and problem-solving skills along with superior interpersonal and negotiation skills.
