We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to design and develop robust, scalable software running on embedded Linux, working close to the hardware and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to bring our humanoid robots from prototype to production.
Your Mission
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded Linux software for Aeon, Hexagon’s humanoid robot
- Work closely with robotic algorithms experts and electrical engineers
- Work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment developing a novel robot from prototype to serial production
- Active and hands-on participation with system integration and testing on real hardware
- Team-oriented, problem-solving and creative thinking to push boundaries of cutting-edge technologies
- Being part of an R&D division with startup spirit in a globally active company: we work in an iterative fashion to solve complex real-world problems at the frontier of robotics
Your Skillset
- BSc/MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development using modern C++, C, Python and Shell
- Hands-on experience with cross-compilation, dependency management and packaging tools for embedded software
- Proficiency with Linux development in an embedded context, including device drivers, kernel configuration and build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot
- Experience with the Nvidia Jetson BSP is a bonus
- Experience implementing embedded security features, including secure boot, kernel and driver signing, encrypted file systems and secure key storage
- Familiar with low-level hardware communication (SPI, UART, I2C) and industrial protocols such as EtherCAT and CAN
- Deep knowledge of network protocols and experience developing and debugging distributed applications
- Familiar with CI/CD integration for embedded software
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC compliance standards relevant to embedded robotic systems is a plus
