Purpose of Position:

This role will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

· Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, general ledger, and taxes.

· Oversees Accounts payable department processes including timely postings and payments and general ledger processes.

· Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.

· Maintain and implement internal control procedures to ensure compliance.

· Provide support to Assistant Controller with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

· Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

· Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Knowledge and experience - Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
