About the Role:

The Sales Director – Metrology Software is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for Hexagon’s portfolio of metrology and quality management software. This role focuses on expanding market share, managing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring customer success across industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and heavy equipment.

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth for Hexagon’s metrology software portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers and account executives across the U.S.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at manufacturing enterprises, OEMs, and tier suppliers.
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM reporting (Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive enterprise sales with a consultative, value-based selling approach, focusing on ROI and business impact.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Represent Hexagon at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance market presence.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales or sales leadership, preferably in metrology, quality management, or manufacturing software.
  • Strong background in selling to automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or other precision industries.
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
  • Deep understanding of metrology software, quality control processes, and digital manufacturing workflows.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with C-level stakeholders and drive enterprise deals.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (~30%) for key customer meetings, team leadership, and industry events.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience selling Hexagon’s metrology and quality software solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based manufacturing analytics, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 trends.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
