Overview
Hexagon Autonomy and Positioning (A&P) is looking for a Marine Account Manager to serve as the lead point of contact for offshore vessel accounts using our GNSS positioning technology.
As part of the North American Marine Sales and Support team, this position will join a high-performance team focused on supporting our Mexican and American offshore marine client base with their GNSS positioning needs. Our customers rely on Hexagon A&P’s industry-leading technology to build their own solutions. Location:
Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you will:
- Actively manage customer accounts, including negotiating contract renewals to maximize profits, and travel to visit clients in Mexico.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives while adhering to company quality and safety standards.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders and provide updated forecasts.
- Develop new and additional business with existing customers.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Update and maintain all necessary business systems, including Syteline and Salesforce.
- Ensure all invoicing is completed in a timely manner.
- Continuously review business processes to ensure maximum efficiency in day-to-day operations.
- Monitor and follow up on customer receivables to ensure prompt receipt of due revenue.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory.
- Oversee vessel mobilizations, ensuring all necessary risk assessments are completed and that relevant materials, personnel, and documentation are in place to allow for the satisfactory completion of mobilizations.
- Ensure that all documents related to vessel visits are filed in the appropriate customer folder.
- Ensure that the final product/service complies with the customer’s specifications and meets all contractual and quality requirements.
- Stay familiar with the most up-to-date technology, equipment, and resources.
- Attend industry trade shows and exhibitions.
- Be available to participate in any out-of-hours on-call rota or other out-of-hours duties as reasonably instructed.
- Assume the responsibilities of the Operations Manager in their absence.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- A recognized higher education or technical qualification
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in account management or a technically relevant field
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager or Key Account Manager in the oil and gas or marine industry
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in both English and Spanish
