What's the role?

Develop, test and deploy software components
Investigate and correct software and system defects
Learn new technologies and programming languages
Create and maintain configurations and scripts for software releases
Participate in agile planning sessions with teammates and stakeholders

Who are you?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or comparable field

8+ years of software design and development experience
Demonstrated understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Understanding of both functional and object-oriented programming
Experience building and enhancing production applications
Proficiency in Java and Java EE technologies
Strong problem-solving skills and comprehension of basic test methodologies
Familiarity with common build tools (e.g. Agile, Maven, CI/CD - Jenkins and GitLab)
Knowledge of cloud-computing services, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Nice to have

Experience writing code in Scala is a strong plus
Ability to write scripts in Python, Ruby or Unix/Linux shell scripting (Bash)
Exposure to containerized software solutions, especially Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis
Proficiency with big-data technologies like Spark, Hadoop M/R, Hive or Pig is a plus
