The role
The Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, security, and safety of Helsing's facilities. This dynamic position involves managing hard services maintenance, overseeing site security, responding to emergencies, and maintaining high safety standards while providing exceptional support to the on-site team.
The day-to-day

Maintenance Management: Oversee hard services maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, fire safety systems, elevators, and building fabric maintenance

Security Management: Act as the Site Security Lead, ensuring all visitors are vetted, justified for entry, signed in, and receive a comprehensive safety brief upon arrival

Site Oversight: Supervise building works and serve as the primary contact for contractors and the landlord to resolve site issues promptly

Communication: Disseminate relevant information regarding site activities to staff and manage site safety communications, including safety notices and reports

Safety Leadership: Serve as the safety lead for the site, conducting near miss investigations, managing safety notices, and acting as the Site Fire Marshal and First Aider. Oversee site and fire risk assessments (RA)

Emergency Response: Respond to out-of-hours emergencies, providing key management and serving as the first point of contact for emergency situations

Operational Management: Handle waste management, ensure adequate team facilities, and manage the payment of site-based invoices

Client Relations: Coordinate customer visits in collaboration with the Office Manager and support the upkeep and running of Keystone

Team Leadership: Line manage the office support team, ensuring effective collaboration and support for all site operations
You should apply if you

Have proven experience in facilities management or a similar role

Show strong understanding of hard services maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems

Demonstrate excellent security and safety management skills, with experience in emergency response and risk assessments

Have strong organisational and communication skills

Can handle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
