About the role
At Halter, we’re seeking a passionate and impactful Head of Logistics to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be our first dedicated logistics leader, taking on the critical, hands-on mission of transforming our current logistics operations into a highly scalable model that will power our global ambition. This isn’t your typical corporate role; we need a leader who is strategic, energetic and embodies our 'roll up your sleeves' ethos to make a massive impact on our customer experience by architecting and executing a world-class, globally-integrated Third-Party Logistics (3PL) network.
Your work will be pivotal in navigating our rapid growth, supporting the fast-growing volumes in our core markets while establishing efficient pathways for expansion into new markets. Collaborating closely with our Supply Chain, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams, your success will be defined by building a resilient and cost-effective logistics network that delivers for our customers, every time.

What your day could look like

  • Global 3PL Network Architecture: Lead the design, selection, and implementation of a global 3PL network. This includes running the RFQ process, negotiating contracts, and managing partner performance to service customers across widely distributed and often remote locations (e.g., in rural US and Australia).
  • Inventory & Service Level Management: Own our end-to-end delivery SLAs. You will design and manage a network of regional stock buffers, including inventory for new sales, maintenance, and swaps. This involves directing production stock to the right locations based on demand signals and making critical trade-offs between the cost of holding stock and achieving service level targets.
  • International Freight & Cost Management: Oversee all international and domestic freight movements from manufacturing hubs to our markets. You will continuously analyse routes, monitor trends, and find creative solutions to manage our cost-to-serve and preserve strong margins.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with shipping regulations for all routes, including the specific management of returned goods containing Lithium-Ion batteries. You will champion a strong health and safety culture across all logistics operations.
  • Operational Excellence & Problem-Solving: Act as the primary point of escalation for any logistical challenges, proactively problem-solving to mitigate delays and maintain a seamless supply chain that supports our rapidly scaling business.

Who are we looking for

  • A seasoned logistics leader with demonstrated experience scaling functions within a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing a global 3PL model.
  • Exceptional knowledge of international freight (sea/air), customs, and last-mile distribution.
  • An outstanding team player and communicator who excels at building influential relationships with external partners and internal teams (Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, etc.).
  • An innovative and resilient mindset, with a proven ability to drive process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with dangerous goods logistics, particularly involving Lithium-Ion batteries.

Bonus things you could bring

  • Experience establishing logistics operations in new international markets, particularly in Europe and/or South America.
  • Experience in industries involving hardware, technology, or agriculture.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • A qualification or deep experience in Health and Safety management.
Our Office First Approach
There’s a reason you visit your friends in person, live with your family and don’t do dinners over Zoom. Humans are wired for connection. We believe a world-class, in-person office culture is the best way for high-performing teams.
Being office first is a core pillar of our culture. We believe in-person connections are key to driving your own growth, learning, impact, and building genuine long-lasting relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful and aligned work. We don’t like having heaps of rules or policies, but this means having strong, trusted relationships is critical.
We’re office first, not office only. This means working from the office everyday is our default setting, but we flex when we need to. We have a high-trust culture, so everyone is trusted to do what’s best for Halter.
Our office vibe is something special, it’s hard to describe until you’re here, but people at Halter who have come from fully remote or hybrid companies say they could never go back - the high energy and spectacular people they are now surrounded by everyday makes work so enjoyable. Your growth, your learning and your impact is truly unlimited here, and a big part of that comes from being together solving problems, innovating, building context, and constantly learning from each other.
