About the role
We are looking for a world-class Performance Marketer to optimise and grow our presence, across a range of channels. If you like to test, learn, measure, and report - this is the role for you!
At Halter, we’re passionate about transforming the farming industry with technology and we need a Senior Performance Manager to help lead the charge. Our brand is bold, our goals are ambitious, and the right person for this role is excited about making a real impact on the way we reach and engage farmers.
As the Senior Performance Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimising and growing our digital presence across multiple paid channels, driving lead generation, and scaling our digital performance. You’ll focus on executing highly effective, data-driven campaigns, optimising them in real-time, and ensuring Halter’s growth both locally and internationally.
While this role has a strategic focus, it’s also hands-on. You’ll work closely with the Director of Marketing and collaborate with the Brand, Content, and Design teams. We’re looking for someone who loves the hustle of tweaking campaigns for the best ROI, is comfortable leading initiatives, and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values creativity, critical thinking, and relentless execution.
This will be a fast-paced and demanding role, with exceptionally high rewards for the right person. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of a digital marketing programme and put your mark on it, as well as help more farmers discover the farming revolution that is Halter – first in New Zealand and then the world.
What your day could look like
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Lead digital campaigns across paid channels like Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and others, with a focus on generating qualified leads for both New Zealand, Australian, and North American markets.
- Performance Optimisation: Leverage data and analytics to continually optimise live campaigns, working closely with the Marketing and RevOps teams to ensure campaigns are driving the best results possible.
- Budget Management: Own and manage a digital marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated to maximise performance.
- Reporting & Insights: Analyse performance metrics, deliver regular reports, and offer actionable insights for ongoing optimisation and campaign strategy.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside the internal and external marketing teams to ensure campaigns align with Halter’s overall marketing strategy and visual identity.
- Website Management: Ensure the Halter website is optimised for lead generation and continuously improved to support marketing initiatives.
- You’ll work collaboratively with the wider team to execute our big events of the year, and cross-functional campaigns
Who we’re looking for
- Experience: 4-6 years in a digital marketing-focused role, ideally within a fast-growing or tech business.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Proven track record of delivering data-driven marketing campaigns, with hands-on experience managing paid media channels and generating qualified leads.
- Results-Oriented: Strong focus on optimising performance, with the ability to pivot and adjust campaigns in real time.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to translate campaign data into meaningful insights and strategic actions, delivering continuous improvements in results.
- Collaborative: Able to work closely with different teams, aligning strategies to drive cohesive marketing efforts.
- Adaptable: Excited by the fast pace of a growing company and comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
- Tools Expertise: Proficient in analytics and ad platforms, as well as marketing automation tools like HubSpot.
- High degree of ownership and ability to thrive in a demanding and dynamic startup atmosphere
- Experience working in a fast-paced tech startup environment is advantageous.

Our Office First Approach
There’s a reason you visit your friends in person, live with your family and don’t do dinners over Zoom. Humans are wired for connection. We believe a world-class, in-person office culture is the best way for high-performing teams.
Being office first is a core pillar of our culture. We believe in-person connections are key to driving your own growth, learning, impact, and building genuine long-lasting relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful and aligned work. We don’t like having heaps of rules or policies, but this means having strong, trusted relationships is critical.
We’re office first, not office only. This means working from the office everyday is our default setting, but we flex when we need to. We have a high-trust culture, so everyone is trusted to do what’s best for Halter.
Our office vibe is something special, it’s hard to describe until you’re here, but people at Halter who have come from fully remote or hybrid companies say they could never go back - the high energy and spectacular people they are now surrounded by everyday makes work so enjoyable.
