About this role
Every part of our company relies on solid IT systems and effective networking -- day-to-day factory operations, supply chain operations, resource scheduling, hardware data integrations, quality processes, and more.
Success in this role would mean you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across a variety of factory and end user systems. Factory, operations, infrastructure, and software development teams will rely on you for guidance on computing requirements and collaborative building of end-to-end solutions that solve complex IT administration problems.
In this role, you will be a principal member of an organization responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT and networking platforms and systems.
Responsibilites
- Maintain and troubleshoot our fleet of physical endpoints for workers in our factories, remote offices, and devices embedded inside machining equipment
- Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals to include but not limited to Active Directory, Group Policy, & DNS.
- Administer and deploy systems within a mixed operating system environment (Debian, Windows, MacOS)
- Understanding, configuration and administration of cloud and on-premises virtualization (QEMU/KVM, Kubernetes, EC2)
- Administration of on-premises servers (HPE/Dell)
- Maintain and administer networking equipment (PANOS, JUNOS, AWS TGW)
- Understanding of RAID and data backup and duplication.
- Understanding and deployment of Data Loss Prevention technologies
- Administer and maintain platforms, support and maintain on-premises and cloud databases (MSSQL, Postgres)
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes.
- Document network design, configurations, and procedures, and maintain an up-to-date inventory of devices and software at Hadrian factories
- Analyze performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks and other QoS issues
- Understand and use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and work with vendors to resolve complex problems
This Might be a Good Fit if You…
- Experienced with Microsoft domain controllers, Active Directory, and Azure administration
- Experienced with HPE/Dell Server Administration
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention endpoint solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Crowdstrike, ForcePoint
- Experienced using QEMU KVM, xcp-ng, VMWare ESXi and/or other virtual computing methods
- Familiar with security compliance applications such as QRadar, Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel
- Have knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Have a familiarity with modern network operating systems like PANOS, JUNOS
- Are familiar with GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible
- Familiar with cloud infrastructure administration such as AWS, Azure
- Capable of working collaboratively with the infrastructure team to support SRE, DevOps, DBA, InfoSec, and more
- Capable of creating documentation to illustrate designs and help new and existing hires understand how our platforms, networks, and services work
- Feel passionate about making things move in the real world through systems design
- Are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high-stakes and quick iteration cycles
- Are a highly effective communicator when speaking or writing, especially when presenting technical information
- Can work from our Los Angeles Factory (Torrance)
Nice to Have (or Excited to Learn)
- Familiarity with ITAR compliance
- Familiarity or experience with controls pertaining to NIST 800-171 or CMMC compliance frameworks.
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience with writing Python/Go for network and endpoint administration tooling
