About The Opportunity

This is a multi-faceted role, you will ideate and implement advanced loyalty mechanics and personalized messaging to boost habitual usage and foster a thriving community of high-value customers. Responsible for end-to-end execution, from strategy through optimization, you will transform data into market-leading campaigns, generating intent for new customers and deeply optimizing the customer lifecycle for maximum retention. You will champion cross-functional collaboration, partnering with Product, Analytics, and business units (Campus, Hospitality, Corporate) to deliver integrated programs that fundamentally advance Grubhub’s growth objectives. You will think holistically about how to maximize business impact and own the strategy and execution of campaigns that align with Grubhub’s broader brand and growth objectives.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution of integrated campaigns across key strategic channels (including Campus and Corporate) and audiences (high value customers), ensuring programs drive measurable business growth and optimize the full customer funnel from acquisition through retention.

  • Design and lead customer lifecycle evolution across all marketing touchpoints, with an emphasis on effective, personalized messaging and advanced segmentation to increase consumer engagement and maximize LTV.

  • Drive performance across critical lower-funnel marketing channels, including the design and execution of advanced CRM strategies and the integration of in-product merchandising, gamification, and loyalty mechanics to boost conversion and habitual usage.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution, guiding teams across Product, Analytics, CRM, Media, Finance, and Creative to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing campaigns and go-to-market (GTM) plans.

  • Shape strategic narratives, translating consumer insights, data, market trends, and emerging opportunities into clear recommendations, loyalty enhancements, product proposals, and marketing plans, driving alignment and action.

  • Own insight generation, analysis, & performance measurement, with a focus on retention metrics (e.g., LTV, churn rate, repeat purchase frequency), ensuring learnings translate into scalable best practices across lines of business.

  • Develop and evolve the marketing roadmap with an innovation mindset and a collaborative approach; identify growth opportunities, test and learn to expand reach, improve customer stickiness, optimize spend, and unlock new ways to retain and grow high-value customers. Set a long-term vision for how each strategic channel contributes to business goals, backed by data and insights.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and analytical rigor across campaign planning, execution, and optimization.

  • Drive operational excellence, establishing clear frameworks, processes, and governance to balance near-term priorities with long-term strategic growth.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, channel marketing, brand management, account/relationship management, advertising or business development

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related fields

  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns and GTM plans

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and partnering with technical or product teams

  • Analytical and strategic thinker who turns insights into actionable plans that drive results

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills; ability to align teams and influence senior leaders

  • Curiosity and a drive to test, learn, and improve

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities

  • Experience managing and tracking budgets is a plus

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

Chicago: $156,500 - $165,000 per year.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
