· Own thermal systems from requirements definition to orbital data review.
· Perform hand calcs, scoping studies, and both large and small scale thermal simulations in industry-standard toolkits such as Thermal Desktop or Siemens Simcenter.
· Work with suppliers and our manufacturing team to make your designs a reality.
· Be a reliable expert of your system, from concept to mission control console.

· Sound knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and fluid mechanics.
· 2+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Electrical engineering with electronics packaging background may also be acceptable.
· Familiarity with CAD and Analysis packages such as NX, Simcenter, Thermal Desktop or similar.
· Strong understanding of model correlation and validation in test to prepare for the harsh real world of space environments.
· Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
Bonus Points for
· A proven history of successful hardware in launch vehicles or space systems.
· Experience working with thermal test systems, vacuum chambers, and data acquisition.
· Deep working knowledge of space thermal systems and techniques, including radiators, heaters, sensors, insulation blankets.
· Having a design portfolio.
Compensation and Benefits
Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
