Get to Know the Role
As a People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP), you will play a strategic role in aligning business objectives with partners and employees across departments. You will act as a strategic advisor, providing end-to-end HR expertise across organisational effectiveness, talent acquisition, performance management, career development, employee relations, compensation, and workforce planning. This expertise will ensure our people strategy creates a measurable impact on our organisation. This is an individual contributor role based in Bangkok, reporting to the Country Head of People Operations, Thailand.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Strategic Business Partnering:
- You will diagnose complex problems by connecting insights and challenges across teams, swiftly addressing risks and opportunities with strategic insight.
- You will offer thought leadership to influence business decisions and align people programmes with organisational values through organization effectiveness, workforce management and drive more business productivity.
- You will guide managers through performance management cycles, rewards, retention, and talent development.
- You will promote inclusion, teamwork, and high performance.
Strategic Learning & Development
- You will identify skills gaps within business teams and work with regional L&D team to tailor development programmes
- You will partner business leaders to create succession plans and identify high-potential employees for development
- You will lead implementation of country wide L&D initiatives, ensuring they align with overall business strategy and culture
Technology and AI Leadership:
- You will foster innovation, encouraging technology adoption across all levels, embracing and promoting the philosophy that every Grabber is a technologist
- You will lead AI-driven HR programs to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- You will use generative AI tools to analyse data, automate tasks, and improve decision-making.
- You will champion HR innovation, positioning Grab as a leader in AI integration, enhancing productivity while maintaining a human touch in People business partnering.
Workforce Planning and Data Analytics:
- You will guide workforce planning, align resources with goals, and address skill gaps through training.
- You will oversee talent deployment and anticipate future needs.
- You will use People metrics to guide necessary data-based decisions and changes
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in human resource business partnering in industries such as FinTech, hyper-growth companies, or banking and finance.
- Great at talking to others and building trust and credibility across all levels.
- Experience with HRIS systems and People analytics tools such as Power BI, to extract workforce insights and present data to leadership.
- Comfortable working alone or with a team, and able to handle change and uncertainty with ease.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, and knowledge of cultural landscape in the markets we operate in.
- Leadership and strategic thinking skills, with experience leading digital transformation or AI adoption in HR processes.
