Get to Know the Team
The Grab Mart Growth and Partnerships team. Our mission is to be the regional commercial and operational partner for Grab's country teams, driving e-commerce growth and ensuring core partner excellence. We own the regional growth strategy, category vision, and commercial performance, managing strategic funding to accelerate new use cases. We simultaneously strengthen our core supermarket business by providing deep operational expertise and partnership management.
Get to Know the Role
You will report to the Head of Growth and Partnerships and lead the Commercial Strategy & Marketplace pillar. In this role, you will be the team's commercial architect, owning the regional e-commerce commercial strategy, profitability, and our future commerce vision. You will be the primary business thought-partner for Product teams related to Monetization and AI, shaping the sustainable, long-term growth of our e-commerce business. You will be based onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Own the regional P&L tracking process, working with FP&A to provide consolidated strategic insights on commercial performance.
- Manage the regional experimentation fund, creating the investment framework for allocation and tracking its impact to fuel new, high-ROI experiments.
- Govern the core marketplace commercial framework, providing the strategy for service differentiation and advising on sustainable fee and promotional structures.
- Continue to own and scale the regional Retail Media Network (RMN) partnership strategy, driving a key high-margin revenue stream.
- Coordinate the overall quarterly planning and business review process for the e-commerce team, aligning all pillars with our financial targets.
- Act as the business owner for our "AI enablement" initiative, partnering with Strategy and Product teams to define the commercial model and monetization strategy for GenAI-powered features.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, e-commerce, retail media, trade marketing, digital advertising, or brand management.
- Experience in P&L management, commercial strategy, or financial planning.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce business models, monetization levers (ads, fees, etc.), and financial principles.
- Experience or strong interest in defining commercial models for new technologies, including AI and GenAI.
- You shape and own clearly-defined outcomes, proactively trade-offs and adjusting plans to ensure they are consistently delivered.
- You drive functional-level impact by spearheading innovative solutions, guiding teams to apply AI and other new methods to bring novel, user-first ideas to life.
