Job Description
Get to know the Role
As the Strategy Specialist for GrabMart & GrabExpress, you are the analytical engine of the team. You will support the strategic planning process by diving deep into data, monitoring performance, and helping to manage the execution of key growth initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sharp, hungry, and data-savvy individual to learn the ropes of business strategy and make a significant contribution to strengthen the local economy by empowering small businesses and making daily life easier and more efficient for everyone in the nation.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Analytical Support: Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance to uncover key insights, support strategy formulation, and answer critical business questions.
Performance Monitoring: Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports to track the performance of GrabMart and GrabExpress against key metrics.
Project Coordination: Assist the Assistant Manager in project management by tracking milestones, preparing status updates, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring follow-through on action items.
Insight Generation: Help prepare compelling presentations and documents that synthesize complex data into clear, persuasive narratives for senior leadership.
Qualifications
The Must Haves
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
1-3 years of experience in a highly analytical role such as a business analyst, data analyst, or strategy analyst. Fresh graduates with exceptional internship experience and strong technical skills are welcome to apply.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
You must be comfortable and proficient in writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data from scratch.
You love numbers and are passionate about finding the 'so what' behind the data.
High proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets is required. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Ability to communicate findings and ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
A proactive and curious mindset with a strong desire to learn about business strategy and grow within a fast-paced environment.
