Business Platform Tech Family (BP TF) is a platform TF with the mission to create an easy-to-use platform that empowers every business in Southeast Asia to connect with Grab consumers.
Get to Know the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically experienced Lead Product Manager to join our Business Platform team. This is an individual contributor role focused on empowering our valued merchant partners by building and scaling API platforms that enable seamless integration with Grab's ecosystem. You will oversee the strategy, development, and optimization of APIs and developer tools designed for merchants, POS systems, and third-party integrations. This is a critical position with a significant impact on our merchant ecosystem and Grab's platform capabilities. You will be based in our Jakarta office, reporting to the BP Product Management.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grab's API platform, ensuring alignment with merchant needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tech, Business) to define and execute the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for API products, including partnerships, developer documentation, sandbox environments, and integration support.
- Understand merchant needs and use cases through direct user research, data analysis, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design, build, and scale APIs, SDKs, and developer tools to ensure Grab's API platform remains competitive.
- Monitor API performance metrics such as adoption, engagement, and retention to inform product decisions and continuous improvements.
- Advocate for developer-first experiences by ensuring robust documentation, low-friction onboarding, and smooth integration processes.
- Embrace AI and LLM in your daily work and product design.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on API platforms, SDKs, or developer tools.
- Experience with designing and executing GTM strategies for API products, including monetization and adoption plans.
- Technical expertise or familiarity with API design, POS systems, and integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, analyzing product impact, build roadmaps, and track platform KPIs.
- Experience with developer relations, including preparing educational materials, and supporting API consumers.
- Ability to manage API lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and retirement, while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Business) or equivalent practical experience.
