Get to Know the Team
You'll join Grab's PayCore Foundation team, focusing on foundational payment services to ensure stability, reliability, and efficiency across the payment ecosystem. The team works with stakeholders to improve payment success rates, cashout stability, and reduce operational fund losses. Key efforts include re-architecting core platform capabilities for better system performance and faster onboarding of payment service providers.
Get to Know the Role
As a Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable payment-platform systems. Your will report to the Engineering Manager.
This role will be onsite at Grab's One-North office in Singapore.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Design and implement software applications using industry standards.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and develop new features.
- Write clean, maintainable code adhering to coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software performance.
- Enhance development processes and methodologies.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
- Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- At least 2 years experience in the same position
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Go.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles, algorithms, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with financial operations platforms.
