Get to Know the Role

Follow strategies to attract new merchants and create business opportunities, working with team members to meet goals. Build relationships with potential merchants, explaining Grab's value, and keep up with market trends to adjust strategies. You will be reporting to the Merchant Partner Manager. Working onsite from Surabaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Build established merchant acquisition strategies to acquire new leads and maximize business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners to align and achieve merchant acquisition goals.
  • Develop relationships with potential merchants, introducing them to Grab’s ecosystem and value proposition.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and address merchant needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end merchant acquisition process—from initial outreach to onboarding—ensuring a smooth handover to the account management team.
  • Active monitor and validate daily progress against targets, provide constructive feedback to team members, and implement improvements to improve performance.
  • Deliver structured updates with clear action items, assigned partners, and defined ETAs to ensure on time resolution of all pending backlog tasks.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and guide the team, offering constructive feedback and strategies to improve overall performance and productivity.
  • Be open to traveling and staying for 1 to 2 months in selected cities across East Java, including Jember, Madiun, Kediri, Malang, and Surabaya.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • A university degree or higher education in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Area.
  • Experience with sales funneling and canvassing strategies.
  • Good experience in relevant industries, including Customer Service, Account Management, and Business Development.
  • Background in the F&B industry.
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects; proficiency in English.
  • Managing interpret and present complex funnel dashboards.
  • knowledgeable with Excel and Spreadsheet, Word, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Spreadsheet skills: Ability to design simple yet insightful dashboards or trackers, focus on clarity and functionality.
  • Experience as team player and single fighter.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic company.
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities. Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
