Job Description
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a Communications Specialist (Senior Executive) to be a part of our team. You are an experienced writer/subeditor with great attention to detail.
You will report to the Assistant Manager, Driver Communications and be based in Petaling Jaya, working onsite.
Get to Know the Team
The Driver Communications team writes copy, strategises communication campaigns, and oversees the standardisation of messages that go out to drivers- and delivery-partners on the Grab platform.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
1. Creating and reviewing
- You will craft weekly and project-basis content for drivers- and delivery-partners in English and Malay
- You will optimise copy for the communication channels the team uses (e.g. blog posts, in-app messages, landing pages, Telegram messages etc)
- Review content submitted to ensure clarity and consistency of tone
2. Campaign Operations and Strategy
- You will recommend appropriate communication channels and strategise the use of these channels
- You will set up crafted content with internal tools to deliver communications
- You will monitor feedback and engagement, while providing best practices for content in each available channel
- You will ensure smooth operations of communication with minimal to no error
3. Stakeholder engagement & management
- You will gatekeep the communications calendar so that driver's inbox is not overwhelmed
- You will manage timelines and make sure communications are executed within deadline
- You will engage with stakeholders, making sure all touchpoints and expectations are covered before communications go out
Qualifications
Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility (check out Grab's career page for more info)
- You have at least 3 years' experience in the writing/editing/subediting space, including copywriting in English and Malay
- You are meticulous
- You have strong stakeholder and project management skills
- You are a team player
- You have some knowledge of HTML, Excel and Social Media scheduling platforms
The Nice-to-Haves
- You are familiar with Wordpress pages
- You are comfortable with numbers with some data analysis skills to understand and interpret communication metrics such as open rates, CTR and CTRO
- Preferably a degree or diploma in linguistics, journalism, marketing or related field
