The Grab Legal team is a well-established group responsible for managing all compliance and legal matters. Our team consists of a perfect blend of passionate and dedicated individuals. If you're seeking an exciting opportunity, this is one you won't want to miss!

Get to Know the Role

As a member of the Grab Legal team, you will play a key role in safeguarding the company's interests through analysis and legal governance. You'll be an invaluable asset in providing legal guidance to support business strategies and operations across various regions. You will report to General Counsel - Thailand and work onsite at the Grab Bangkok office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements to ensure they align with Grab's business objectives.
  • You will provide comprehensive legal advice and practical solutions across various laws, balancing business strategies with legal requirements and risks.
  • You will ensure Grab's products, services, and business initiatives comply with applicable laws.
  • You will educate team members about relevant legal compliance and promote best practices in contract and legal risk management within the organization.
  • You will collaborate effectively with teams within the legal department and across other departments at local and regional levels.
  • You will supervise and coordinate with external counsel on dispute resolution matters.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • [Must-have] A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in law from a recognized university, along with a lawyer's license from the Lawyers Council of Thailand. You will use this to provide legitimate guidance and represent Grab in legal matters.
  • [Must-have] At least 2 years of relevant professional legal experience, ideally with a reputable law firm or multinational company, is crucial for adept legal handling.
  • [Must-have] High proficiency in both English and Thai, including legal terminology, to efficiently manage legal documents and communicate across diverse teams.
  • Profound understanding of corporate laws, regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and dispute resolution is essential for ensuring company adherence to legal standards.
  • Experience with analyzing data, conveying messages effectively, and creating engaging presentations to articulate intricate legal issues and resolutions clearly.
  • Cooperate with team members while also independently handling projects, ensuring meaningful contributions to both group efforts and individual assignments.
