Get to Know the Team
MALTA is the team at Grab improve the software foundations and infrastructure components that all Grab mobile apps are built upon.
The team objective is to maximize the productivity of every Grab mobile engineer in delivering the most stable, scalable, and secure product, with the best quality our customers deserve and at great velocity.
Get to Know the Role
MALTA operates against a set of key principles: pursue and adoption of scalable, consistent, and intentional mobile architectures, consolidation of reusable software assets, pervasive automation, and continuous push for all Grab mobile apps towards continuous delivery. You will be reporting to Software Engineering Manager II, Mobile (iOS).
This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will develop iOS applications, ensuring high quality and delivery of projects
- You will collaborate with teams to Identify project requirements and develop solutions that meet our needs.
- You will develop technical documentation, including code comments, architecture diagrams, and technical guides.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, using debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix problems.
- You will stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends and tools, and apply this knowledge to improve development processes and product quality
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- We're looking for someone who has spent at least four-five years in the iOS development field. During this time, you have been able to build and publish several apps.
- You are well-versed in Swift, the main language used for iOS development. Additionally, you have a understanding of the iOS SDK and be comfortable using multiple iOS frameworks and libraries.
- You are familiar with the tools commonly used in iOS development. This includes Xcode, which is the primary environment for developing iOS apps, Git for version control, and Jenkins for continuous integration.
- You will have a understanding of the design patterns and principles that guide iOS development. This includes a focus on usability, performance, and security.
- You can work in an Agile environment, able to adapt to changes swiftly, and comfortable with iterative development and frequent collaboration. Experience with version control systems is also essential.
- Flutter and Bazel experience is a nice to have.
- Experience designing and implementing mobile SDK's is good to have.
