Job Description
Get to Know the Team
The People Analytics Team (PAN) covers the unique convergence of analytical reasoning, deep technical skills and soft sciences of human behaviour and organisational psychology. We are interested in the application of analytical methods to improve the quality of decision-making in Grab. We cover organisational and people subjects including recruitment, engagement, culture, performance, growth, and departures.
Get to Know the Role
This is an onsite role. As a People Analytics Intern,
- You will learn about real-world applications of social psychology, organisational development and behavioural science. Understand different HR functions across Grab, what we do and how data and analytics can improve impact.
- You will learn technical skills: Hands-on exposure to Python, SQL, data visualisation, programming, and - if you're up for it - web applications and chatbots!
- You will learn soft skills: Communication, storytelling, project management, working with team members.
- This is a paid internship. Interns are eligible for course credits. Open for full time or part time from Jan to May 2025.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will wrangle with large datasets to transform raw data into useful outputs.
- You will perform analyses to translate data into meaningful people and organisational insights.
- You will build data visualisations for data storytelling and messaging.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Diploma, undergraduate students - all welcomed.
- Academic background in a quantitative field, including Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Economics or Social Research.
- Interested in or familiar with psychology, behavioural science, or HR fields.
- Familiar with Python and SQL. We are open to candidates who have hands-on exposure to programming but without formal academic background.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Logical thinker and passionate about working with people.
