Get to Know the Team

Join our dynamic team where you'll have the opportunity to work on enhancing our consumer and delivery-partner facing features, primarily focusing on Deliveries. This is not just limited to this, as we always welcome fresh ideas and knowledge. You'll be contributing to one of the most extensive codebases in Southeast Asia, impacting an app used by millions daily. It's a chance to leave your mark on a product that touches lives every day.

Get to Know the Role

As such, we are seeking experienced & passionate Engineers to join our team, you will have opportunities to work on multiple app clients with flexible programming languages. It is very important that our team members take initiative to identify problems, and have the right mindset and skillsets to solve them. You will report to Senior Engineering Manager, who is based in Beijing, China. This role is based in Mapletree Business Centre, District 7, HCM and onsite.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Architect, design, and build scalable backend systems using microservices architecture.
  • Scope technical requirements and identify suitable technology solutions for new projects.
  • Integrate new systems with existing platforms and ensure interoperability.
  • Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Collaborate with technical leads from other teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
  • Lead and influence hiring decisions and foster an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Backend Software Architecture: At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture using microservices.
  • Performance and Scalability: Advanced knowledge in building high-performance systems suitable for enterprise environments.
  • Full System Design: Experience in independent full systems design, including requirements gathering, technical specifications, and coding.
  • Technical Leadership: Proven experience in a managerial role to lead technical teams.
  • Cloud Services: Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and applications.
  • International Collaboration: Experience in successfully working with international teams and leading collaborative projects.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
  • Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
