Get to Know the Team
The Communications Team upholds our reputation and shapes our narratives with the goals of increasing positive conversation, engagement, and sentiments toward the company.
As a strategic partner to business team in Grab, the Communications Team helps to collaborate with business leaders to achieve our objectives by ensuring that all partners understand and support Grab's vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programs, marketing campaigns, and internal programs.
Get to Know the Role
As Manager Communication you will collaborate with business, marketing, and public affairs teams to create communication strategies and implement PR plans, aiming to achieve team goals and make Grab a relatable brand to all stakeholders, including the government. You will report to Head Communication and with on-site work arrangement.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will create, implement and manage public relations programs align with company's vision & goals
- You will oversee PR program in Grab Indonesia across territories/departments
- You will have to monitor legislation and policy activities, and work with the Public Affairs team to analyze the potential impact on our business includes organize events which aign with government relations goals
- Pitch stories and create multi-format content to promote Grab
- You will manage our media and influencer advocacy program, collaborate with PR agency and manage based on the requirements
- You will manage and pre-empt issues and crisis within the company
- Develop relationships with Grab's business team and management, and manage their profiling
- Analyze metrics to determine the output and value of PR results and use the data as a critical planning tool
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 8+ years of experience in Communication field with prior experience in PR/digital agency
- Breakdown and analyze problems into potential solutions while taking into account every communications recommendations and collateral available
- Deliver high-quality writing, demonstrated through captivating stories that effectively promote a product or business.
- Have proven relationships with a diverse range of tier-1 media's senior reporters and influencers.
- Experience working with multiple teams including social media, legal, product, marketing, and partnership teams.
- Excellent command of Indonesian and English (written and spoken).
- Experience working in a fast-growth company.
- A creative flair and curiosity to push new ideas.
