Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, Group Business Development & Capital Markets, you will serve as a key member of the Grab Group Business Development team to develop commercial strategy for the assigned overall portfolio/ industry sector(s) via strategic partnerships
- Take the lead to define key segments to target, drive projects/deals end-to-end from commercial negotiation to closure, to project management and execution and maintain key relationships at senior levels of large corporate institutions.
- Drive and create new partnerships as well as harvest existing partnerships to accelerate growth for Grab overall, specific to the assigned portfolio(s)/ industries by working closely with multiple internal regional and local business and product/ ops/ engineering teams.
- Support various group business development initiatives to ensure it meets company's objectives.
This role will be onsite and based in Singapore's One North office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will define opportunities and strategies to form OneGrab strategic regional partnerships with leading global and regional partners in Southeast Asia.
- You will develop, maintain, and leverage senior relationships across Asia, focusing on Northeast Asia.
- You will execute Grab's strategic partnership priorities, collaborating across Grab's Mobility, Deliveries, Fintech, and B2B enterprise teams.
- You will engage and communicate with prospects and partners to develop a compelling Grab value proposition tailored to their needs.
- You will identify and create new leads, improving user, driver, and partner experiences while driving revenue.
- You will lead business development initiatives, ensuring timely and targeted execution.
- You will deliver regular business reviews to Grab management, outlining progress, challenges, and strategies for increasing adoption.
- You will support a high-performing team culture and share best practices with regional business development teams.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have 6 or more years of experience in regional strategic partnerships.
- Experience working with Japanese or Korean markets; and understand the cultural nuances important for strategic partnerships.
- You blend business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals.
- You have experience establishing and maintaining C-level relationships across Southeast Asia.
- You have a strong track record in project management and stakeholder management.
- You communicate effectively in writing and verbally, shaping clear messages and initiatives.
- You have experience with tools such as Google Suite and PowerPoint.
